Lanny Barnes is a three time Winter Olympian who competed for the U.S. in the biathlon at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics. Lanny competed in the individual event at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and in the 7.5 km sprint event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She was initially named for the 2014 Winter Olympic Team but became sick during qualifying and finished one spot short of making the U.S. team. However, Lanny’s twin sister, 2006 Olympian Tracy Barnes, gave up her own spot on the 2014 team for her sister.
